Regarding the July 14 Kyodo article "Son starts national energy initiative": I, for one, welcome the brave and very timely action of Softbank Corp. President Masayoshi Son to promote the production of renewable energy on Japan's idle farmland.
Am I the only one who dreams that the new houses to be built in the Tohoku-Pacific areas devastated by the March 11 tsunami all come with solar panel-attached roofs? Perhaps even for generating electricity for public use?
For this, maybe the government or some business groups could subsidize much of the housing reconstruction costs.
Son-san, and [Prime Minister Naoto] Kan-san, gambare!
