If you have ever called customer service for a company here in the United States and the call was routed to an Indian or Philippine call center, you would know why English should be taught by native speakers. I can remember The Japan Times publishing a similar letter by a Japanese native complaining that Japanese natives could do the job of English teachers equally as well as native speakers. He made an egregious grammar error in his letter that no native speaker would ever make.
