Regarding the July 30 article "Uighur activist calls on Japan to probe riot": I think Westerners who are not aware of the history of China will not be aware that supporting Rebiya Kadeer (who heads the Uighur rights movement) is like supporting Osama bin Laden, and that awarding her recognition is like welcoming bin Laden to New York City.
