Regarding Philip J. Cunningham's Nov. 13 article, "Yes we can . . . what, Mr. Obama?": I would like to commend The Japan Times for publishing an article written by somebody who is able to look past all the excitement and fervor of Barack Obama's election and analyze what the next U.S. president might do rather than what he has said. Perhaps if more Japanese people actually looked past what they see on the news and tried to think analytically of their own politicians, the political scene in this country would improve.
