Web pages with instructions on how to commit suicide should be illegal. Japan is already one of the countries with the worst suicide rate on the face of the Earth (more than 30,000 suicides a year). Allowing Internet sites, books, magazines etc. to show home kits on making hydrogen sulfide gas to commit suicide is just terrible. Not only are these desperate people causing untold misery to themselves and their families, but also to their neighbors and to the police and other rescue workers who have to deal with these incidents.

Why do so many Japanese kill themselves?

I really like Japan, but I can't understand how anybody can feel so sad and hopeless as to want to take away their own life. Can someone suicidal try to explain it to us regular folk who are happy to be alive?
