In regard to the April 10 article titled "Swiss woman's drug smuggling acquittal upheld," I am sorry to say I feel very little sympathy for her. If she did in fact bring drugs into this country knowingly or not, then she should be in jail. In addition to asking the question of what type of person, in this day and age, would accept a suitcase and cash payment from a complete stranger to bring something into a country, I must ask at what point do you then become an accomplice in whatever crime is taking place? If the suitcase had held a bomb and had detonated while being opened by the customs official, killing multiple people, would the same "I did not know" defense work? As an intelligent adult, she made a decision and needs to be held accountable. Keep her in jail.
