Regarding the article "Is it all over for Nova?" on the Sept. 25 Community page: I used to work at Nova as an assistant trainer until about two years ago. I quit because I was worried about the company's future at that time.

Only thing is, my next step was to go to work for (another company) that soon went out of business. After going through that experience I felt very alone. It seemed like media exposure of the problem was very minimal, and filing for unemployment was absolute hell.

Is the Japanese public aware of the hurdles we jump through just to teach them English these days? Do they ever think about where their money is going when they pay? Where I currently work, students pay ¥8,000 a lesson while teachers get ¥1,400 for that lesson.
