ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf argues that his quest for peace with India would receive a boost from the "peace-loving majority" in both countries.
Following his recent trip to India for a peace summit with Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Musharraf noted that if the minority of hardliners in both countries attempt to disrupt the peace process, they would be sidelined once a peace initiative is under way.
But danger awaits Musharraf if he underestimates the capacity of the hardliners in his own country to disrupt a peace initiative.
