Organizers of the 2025 Osaka Expo are working on tackling transportation problems presented by the first expo to be held at a venue completely surrounded by the sea.

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition expects 28.2 million visitors during the expo's six-month run from April 13. The association is striving to ensure smooth transportation to and from the artificial island that serves as the venue in order to avoid disturbing local residents.

Routes to the island, named Yumeshima, or "dream island," are limited.
