When Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba addressed parliament on Jan. 24, he sought to lay out a vision for a new Japan.
He wants to build a “joyful Japan.”
“From now on, I want to aim at ‘a tanoshii Nippon' (joyful Japan) that is spearheaded by people acting as individuals,” Ishiba said.
