Donald Trump is back.
Voters returned the Republican to the White House on Tuesday, multiple U.S. media projections showed, as Americans chose the former president over Democratic rival Kamala Harris in a fiercely fought race that looks set to usher in another era of uncertainty.
Trump, 78, surpassed the needed 270 votes in the Electoral College, according to projections early Wednesday by the Associated Press that showed him securing 277 electoral votes to Harris’ 224.
