Over 400 people remain evacuated in Ishikawa Prefecture one month after the heavy rain that caused floods and landslides in many parts of the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture.

As of Friday, the number of evacuees stood at 434, including those who had moved to accommodation facilities for temporary stays in a practice called secondary evacuation, according to the prefecture.

The number has not decreased very much since a few days after the disaster, mainly because the construction of temporary housing has been delayed due to a shortage of land.
