Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has demanded a “strong reaction” from Kyiv’s partners to North Korea’s deepening involvement in Russia’s more than 2½-year-old war against Ukraine.

In a nightly video address, Zelenskyy said there was ample proof that North Korea is sending not just munitions and engineers to Russia, but also deploying troops to fight alongside Moscow in its invasion of Ukraine.

“Now we have clear evidence that people are being supplied to Russia from North Korea, and these are not just workers for industries, but also military personnel,” he said. “And we expect a normal, honest, strong reaction from our partners to this.”
