Joe Biden is out.
In a stunning announcement Sunday, the 81-year-old U.S. leader said he was dropping out of the 2024 presidential race, as concerns that he could not defeat Republican rival Donald Trump came to a head.
Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, 59, to replace him as the Democratic candidate, just 3½ months before the Nov. 5 election.
