A 2-year-old girl died on Tuesday after her neck was caught in a car window in Tokyo’s Nerima Ward, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The girl’s mother, 34, called an ambulance at around 10:45 a.m., reporting that her child’s neck was stuck in a car window, and that she couldn’t pull her out. The mother was driving the car on a street in Nerima and the daughter was sitting alone in the back, police said.
The child was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead.
