The Osaka Prefectural Police have arrested a man on suspicion of stabbing to death a 19-year-old college student, who is believed to have been his girlfriend, in her apartment in the city of Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture.
On Saturday afternoon, 26-year-old Sho Nishimitsu of Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture called the police from a hotel in the city of Osaka, stating he could not pay his room charge. When police arrived at the scene to handle the matter, he told them, “I’ve killed someone.”
After reaching the address given to them by Nishimitsu, officers found the victim, Karen Watanabe, dead in her apartment.
