Nuclear-armed North Korea fired several cruise missiles toward the Yellow Sea on Saturday, Seoul’s military said, just days after it conducted what it said was a “tactical nuclear strike” drill simulating attacks on South Korean military posts.
The South Korean military said the launches took place at around 4 a.m. but did not offer more details, pending an analysis, the South’s Yonhap news agency reported.
"While strengthening our monitoring and vigilance, our military is maintaining a full readiness posture in close cooperation with the United States," the military said in a statement.
