Recently there have been many cases of researchers in fixed-term employment at national universities and public research institutions having their contracts terminated.
This is apparently related to the fact that people who were employed when the revised labor contracts act was put into force, in April 2013, will have worked for more than 10 years after the law’s enforcement when the spring comes, meaning they will gain the right to apply for open-ended employment.
