As cheers, jeers and economic fears enveloped Britain after Thursday's vote to leave the European Union, it appears many Britons may not have even understood what they voted for.
The vote has triggered a series of economic shocks, including in Tokyo, where Friday the yen briefly soared above 100 against the dollar and the Nikkei stock average tumbled over 8 percent. In London, the pound fell to levels not seen since 1986 though the FTSE 100 index recovered to close down 3.2 percent.
Now, some British voters say they regret casting their ballots in favor of Brexit.
