Low-cost carrier Peach Aviation Ltd. says it will begin flights linking Naha, Okinawa Prefecture with Seoul on Sept. 4.

The seven flights per week aim to capture tourism demand from South Korea.

One-way tickets between Naha and Seoul are set to cost between ¥5,980 and ¥26,880.

Osaka-based Peach Aviation already links Naha with Taipei and Hong Kong.

Having positioned Naha as its secondary base after Osaka's Kansai International Airport, the airline is also considering adding routes to Southeast Asian destinations.

The airline also said Thursday it will double the number of flights between Naha and Fukuoka from one to two round-trip flights daily.
