Japan Asia Group Ltd. will build a 20-megawatt solar-power station at a former high school in Miyagi Prefecture.
The group's two units, Kokusai Kogyo Co. and JAG Energy Co., have been selected for the project by the prefecture, the companies said in a statement Monday.
Construction is scheduled to start in the first half of 2015, according to the statement.
