A commuter train collided with another at a station in Kawasaki early Saturday morning and about 20 people appear to have suffered minor injuries.

An attendant at Motosumiyoshi Station on the Tokyu Toyoko line linking Tokyo and Yokohama made an emergency call at around 12:30 a.m., saying that a train had derailed, the Kawasaki municipal fire department said.

The Kanagawa prefectural police said about 20 people seem to have sustained light injuries.

The fire department said the train appears to have bumped into another train on a Yokohama-bound rail track.
