Bank account holders of Mizuho Bank Ltd. may wish to withdraw some cash for the weekend before the firm's online services, including ATMs, are halted right after midnight Friday.
According to Mizuho Bank's website, the suspension is part of the merger process with Mizuho Corporate Bank Ltd. that will take effect Monday.
The website says ATM and online services will be halted from midnight Friday until 8 a.m. Monday.
Mizuho Bank account holders will also not be able to withdraw money at ATMs in convenience stores and other affiliated financial institutions during the same period, the website said.
