Fujitsu Ltd. plans to increase shipments of microcontrollers used in cars.
Fujitsu's semiconductor unit will begin sample shipments of microcontrollers for auto electronic control units Monday and at the end of the year, according to a statement on Fujitsu's website.
The Japanese electronics maker aims for sales of 25 million microcontrollers by fiscal 2014, the statement said.
