Chemical maker Tosoh Corp. plans to build a second vinyl chloride resin plant in China.
Tosoh is in talks with the Chinese government about the plant, which would have an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons, spokesman Kiichiro Kobayashi said. An investment amount for the plant in Guangzhou hasn't been decided.
The company's Tosoh Guangzhou Chemical Industries unit currently has production capacity for 220,000 tons a year of the chemical in China.
