Idemitsu Kosan Co. will begin selling electricity generated from wind and biomass to offices and stores, re-entering the retail market after a two-year absence, it was learned Wednesday.

Japan's second-biggest oil refiner will supply electricity to Mitsubishi Estate Co.'s Shin-Marunouchi Building in Tokyo starting in April, spokeswoman Makiko Iinuma said. The 38-story building with four basement levels hosts more than 150 tenants, including shops and offices.

The refiner will provide electricity from generators including Japan Wind Development Co., in which it holds a 4 percent stake.
