Professional tennis player Joji Miyao has been arrested in Tokyo on suspicion of possessing cannabis at his girlfriend's home in Minato Ward last month, police said Saturday.
The arrest was made after his 22-year-old girlfriend, former actress Risa Koda, whose real name is Arisa Kikuchi, was arrested Oct. 15 for allegedly possessing cannabis and amphetamines at her home. She told the police the cannabis was for her and Miyao to smoke together, the police said. sk
Miyao, 27, was summoned by the police on Wednesday and subsequently arrested. The police said he admitted to having around 0.7 grams of cannabis in his possession while in the woman's home.
