Sony Corp. said Wednesday its sales and net profit reached record highs in the business year that ended on March 31, suggesting the company is heading for a steady business recovery as its restructuring efforts take hold.
Its strong performance was on the back of robust sales of Bravia flat-screen televisions, Cybershot digital cameras, Vaio computers and other products.
Sony's group net profit in the year almost tripled from the previous year to a record ¥369.4 billion, while sales rose 6.9 percent to a record high of ¥8.87 trillion.
