Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., seeking to develop Japan's first passenger jet, has named five suppliers to help build the new plane that would compete with Bombardier Inc. and Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica SA.
Parker Aerospace, Hamilton Sundstrand Corp., Rockwell Collins, Nabtesco Corp. and Sumitomo Precision Products Co. will help make the Mitsubishi Regional Jet, or MRJ, the Tokyo-based company said Thursday in a faxed statement.
