Japan Airlines Corp. said Monday it managed to reduce its group quarterly net loss to ¥4.2 billion in the first three months of business 2007.
The figure is about one-sixth of the net loss JAL reported a year ago, thanks to improved profitability both in domestic and international flight operations. The carrier reported a net loss of ¥26.7 billion in the April-June period last year.
Operating loss shrank to ¥8.5 billion, compared with the ¥31.9 billion operating loss posted a year earlier.
