All Nippon Airways Co. flew 1.5 percent fewer passengers on domestic flights last month, according to a company statement released Thursday.
The largest domestic airline flew 3.59 million domestic passengers in June. The number of international passengers rose 12.8 percent to 403,427.
The airline filled 60.8 percent of domestic seats with paying passengers in June, down 1.4 percentage points from the year before. The proportion of seats filled on international flights rose 0.3 percentage point to 80.3 percent.
The airline had 209 planes as of March, up from 196 a year before. ANA forecasts net income will rise 96 percent to 64 billion yen this business year, from 32.7 billion yen last year.
