Seiyu Ltd., the Japanese subsidiary of U.S. retail giant Wal-Mart, said Friday its full-year loss widened in 2006 as it wrote down the value of fixed assets.
Seiyu's net loss totaled 55.79 billion yen in the 12 months through December, compared with a loss of 17.7 billion yen a year earlier, the Tokyo-based company said.
Sales slipped 3.6 percent to 960.86 billion yen, down from 99.71 billion yen a year earlier.
