Scandal-tainted Nikko Cordial Corp. said Thursday the release of its corrected group earnings report for fiscal 2004 will be delayed until Feb. 28 because it has changed auditors.
On Dec. 18, Nikko Cordial admitted falsifying its fiscal 2004 financial report by padding profits through illegal use of affiliates. It said it would revise the figures and reissue the report by Jan. 15.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange has placed Nikko Cordial's shares on the monitoring post for possible delisting. The bourse will examine the revised report to see whether the brokerage violated any of its listing regulations.
