The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency will visit Japan later this month to discuss the North Korean and Iranian nuclear standoffs as well as the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, the Foreign Ministry announced Friday.

IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei will meet with Foreign Minister Taro Aso and other senior officials during a six-day visit scheduled from Nov. 29 to Dec. 4, the ministry said in a statement. He is also scheduled to deliver a speech in Tokyo and attend a forum in Kyoto.
