An Imperial Guard was found collapsed Thursday in the Imperial compound in Tokyo's Akasaka district and later confirmed dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Imperial Household Agency sources said.</PARAGRAPH>
<PARAGRAPH>The 19-year-old officer, who was assigned to the Imperial Guard station on the Akasaka Estate where Emperor Akihito's oldest son, Crown Prince Naruhito, and other Imperial family members live, was found lying on the ground at around noon Thursday. Besides the Crown Prince's family, the compound is also home to the families of the Emperor's second son, Prince Akishino, the Emperor's uncle, Prince Mikasa, and Prince Mikasa's oldest son, Prince Tomohito.</PARAGRAPH>

A Cambodian security guard committed suicide inside the Japanese Embassy in Phnom Penh, police officials told Kyodo News on Thursday.
Ty Bunleng, 48, was found dead at 7 a.m. by his colleagues during a shift change.
He apparently jumped off a 20-meter-high water tank.
