Shinzo Abe is likely to give Cabinet posts to his key supporters in the governing Liberal Democratic Party, including Senior Vice Foreign Minister Yasuhisa Shiozaki, after he formally becomes prime minister, ruling coalition lawmakers said Sunday.
Abe is also expected to appoint former Chief Cabinet Secretary Hidenao Nakagawa to a key position in the LDP, such as secretary general, or the party's No. 2 leader, in a shakeup slated for Monday, they said.
Shiozaki was one of the key members of Abe's campaign office prior to the party's presidential election last Wednesday.
