Former Vice Foreign Minister Katsumi Ono died Friday at his home in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, his family said Sunday. He was 101.
A native of Hokkaido who entered the Foreign Ministry in 1929, Ono became vice foreign minister in 1957 and ambassador to Britain the following year.
