Nissan Motor Co. put the remodeled Presage minivan on the market Monday in hopes of stimulating its sluggish domestic sales.
The new version, available with a 2.5 liter or 3.5 liter engine, has been redesigned to give it a more sophisticated and dynamic look, Nissan said.
The minivan will go for 2,404,500 yen to 3,024,000 yen. The automaker hopes to sell 1,800 a month.
As Nissan will introduce only a few new vehicles this year, the remodeled Presage is aimed at creating "a great deal of energy" in the domestic market to stimulate stagnant sales, Nissan Chief Operating Officer Toshiyuki Shiga said at a media launch of the vehicle.
