Condominium developer Huser Ltd. sued 14 municipalities for 9.6 billion yen on Friday at the Tokyo District Court for allegedly failing to properly check the quake-proofing data of its condominium complexes before authorizing their safety.
Huser argues that the authorities overlooked architect Hidetsugu Aneha's fabricated quake-resistance data and erroneously issued safety certifications for 22 condo high-rises, leading Huser to suspend sales or demolish them.
