Tokyo police said Thursday they plan to serve fresh arrest warrants Friday on two men already accused of killing three people, on suspicion of murdering a dentist in Tokyo in 2002.

Tetsuo Odajima, 62, and Katsumi Morita, 55, have been charged with killing three people in 2002 in Chiba Prefecture -- the wife and daughter of the head of Mabuchi Motor Co., and the wife of a discount ticket store operator.

Odajima and Morita are now suspected of stabbing dentist Fumio Aoyagi, 71, on Sept. 24, 2002, at his home in Tokyo's Meguro Ward, and stealing his wallet and jewelry, the sources said.

DNA analysis shows bloodstains on a glove found at the dentist's home match that of Odajima. Both Odajima and Morita have confessed to Aoyagi's murder, the sources said.

Morita has told Chiba Prefectural Police investigators that the pair threw the knife into the Tone River in Gunma Prefecture. But no such object was found in a river search conducted by the Metropolitan Police Department in late December.

Prosecutors indicted the two men on Nov. 11 on robbery-murder charges in the Aug. 5, 2002, killing of Etsuko Mabuchi, 66, wife of Takaichi Mabuchi, and their daughter, Yuka, 40. Takaichi Mabuchi is currently chairman of Mabuchi Motor, one of the world's top makers of small electric motors.

The two suspects stand accused of gaining entry into Mabuchi's home in Matsudo and strangling his wife and daughter. They are also accused of stealing cash and jewelry worth a combined 9.7 million yen from the home and setting fire to the house.

Odajima and Morita are also charged with killing Kimie Oshima, 65, the wife of a discount ticket store operator, at her home in Abiko, Chiba Prefecture, on Nov. 21, 2002, and stealing money and jewelry.
