Those thinking of visiting the German city of Kaiserslautern to see some World Cup soccer matches this June might consider moving their travel plans up a few days to view another sight -- a gigantic carp streamer.

The first giant carp streamer was the brainchild of the junior chamber of commerce of Kazo, Saitama Prefecture, a city famed for making the traditional ornaments, often flown from homes with boys on Children's Day, May 5.

Chamber members were looking for something the city could talk about and hit upon the idea of making a streamer longer than a jumbo jet.
