In addition to pressing charges against disgraced architect Hidetsugu Aneha, police will go after four firms that subcontracted the structural designs of four properties to him in connection with the quake-resistance data fabrication scandal, sources said Wednesday.
The four firms are Kimura Construction Co., which went bankrupt shortly after the building-code scandal broke in mid-November, real estate agency Shinoken Co. and two design offices -- Space One in Tokyo's Minato Ward and SSA in Shinjuku Ward.
The four properties have been found to be weaker than the government-set standards due to data fabrications by Aneha, the sources said.
