Police raided 117 locations Tuesday in Tokyo and five other prefectures, including the offices of property developers and disgraced architect Hidetsugu Aneha, to gather any remaining criminal evidence connected to the earthquake resistance data falsification scam.
In another development, sources said Aneha has told investigators he falsified quake-proof data for three condominium buildings and three houses in Fubanashi, Chiba Prefecture, in which neither Kimura Construction Co. nor the Heisei Sekkei architectural design office were involved.
Previously Aneha had claimed that he falsified quake-proof data at the behest of Kimura and Heisei Sekkei for defective low-cost buildings, including condominiums and hotels in the Kanto region.
