Elusive architect Hidetsugu Aneha, whose whereabouts is reportedly unknown, will be summoned to give sworn testimony before the Diet next week about the swelling construction scandal he's at the center of and may face indictment if he fails to appear.</PARAGRAPH> <PARAGRAPH>Executives of a Diet committee dealing with the building safety fraud agreed Thursday to summon Aneha next week along with Takeshi Uchikawa, president of General Management Consultant –

, Moriyoshi Kimura, president of Kimura Construction, and Akira Shinozuka, the Tokyo branch manager of the now-bankrupt contractor.

The land ministry tried Thursday to formally notify Aneha that he was stripped of his first-class architect license Wednesday, but he was not at his home in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture, and the documents were left in his mailbox.

Aneha, head of Aneha Architect Design Office, and the others will be summoned to testify before the Lower House Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee next Wednesday, members of the panel said.

Aneha has been summoned twice to give unsworn testimony since the scandal broke last month, but has refused to appear, citing mental health problems. Uchikawa also skipped Wednesday's session, citing illness.
