NEC Corp. announced Tuesday it has reached a basic agreement with Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands to set up a joint venture to provide office networking services in the European market.
NEC will own 60 percent of the venture, NEC Philips Unified Solutions, to be set up in Hilversum, Netherlands, by June, with the remainder held by Philips, Europe's largest electronics company, NEC said.
