Lottery fever gripped the public again Friday as Yearend Jumbo tickets went on sale across the nation.
This year's lottery features 74 first-prize tickets worth 200 million yen and 222 second-prize tickets worth 100 million yen.
It is possible for ticket holders to win first and second prizes simultaneously.
To commemorate the launch of Jumbo lottery tickets 60 years ago, there are also 7,400 special prizes worth 600,000.
Ticket sales end Dec. 20, with the winning numbers set to be announced Dec. 31.
