An investment fund led by Yoshiaki Murakami notified Tokyo Broadcasting System Inc. earlier this month that it still holds a 6.5 percent stake in the TV broadcaster, sources said Wednesday.
The so-called Murakami Fund, a major TBS shareholder, is demanding to see a list of shareholders in the broadcaster, the sources said.
TBS has asked the Murakami Fund to provide details on its shareholding, which the fund disclosed Tuesday in a report to the Finance Ministry. In the report, the fund said its stake in TBS had fallen to 0.52 percent by Oct. 31, from 7.45 percent at the end of September.
