The average retail price of a liter of regular gasoline in Japan fell to 130 yen, including tax, on Monday, down from the previous week for the first dip in about five months, the Oil Information Center said Wednesday.

The center attributed the 1 yen fall to the fading rally in crude oil. Major Japanese oil distributors plan to reduce wholesale oil prices for December -- including gasoline and kerosene -- by 0.5 yen to 1 yen per liter from the previous month.

Retail kerosene prices also fell 1 yen from the previous week to 1,256 yen per 18 liters, the first price drop in about five months.
