Tokyo Broadcasting System Inc. submitted a list of 40 questions to Internet shopping mall operator Rakuten Inc. on Tuesday over its proposal that they be integrated, TBS officials said.
The set of questions covered Rakuten's financial performance, its views on the public nature of broadcasting and how Rakuten could add value to broadcasting services, they said.
Rakuten is expected to give answers within this week.
TBS gave an earlier list of questions to Rakuten and received answers last week. Rakuten's answers included a request for early direct negotiations on the proposed integration.
TBS, which has been cautious about the Rakuten proposal, is scheduled to convene a panel Wednesday to consider how to respond to the proposal.
