Renault Japon Co. said Friday it will recall 1,839 Renault Megane station wagons due to a defective brake disk.
According to a report filed with the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ministry, Renault Japon said the minivans in question were manufactured between September 2003 and June 2004.
The Japanese unit of French automaker Renault SA, said the maker had put a smaller brake disk on the front system and the brake pad may come off when the brake is used, causing a lack in braking power.
